Sending a Test Message
SMS From Me allows you to send a test nessage from your Internet account.
First, log in your Internet account if you are not already logged in.
Once logged in, click on the Menu and select Send a Message. The only purpose, really, for that menu option is to send one or more test messages. This is a manual process so using that feature instead of texting directly on your phone is probably not an advantage (except maybe that writing a text message from your PC may be a lot easier than using your smart phone tiny keyboard...)
Just fill out the form and click the Send button.
The Destination is the cell phone number where the message will be sent. To test, we suggest you use your own cell phone number.
The Message box is where you write the actual text message. The box will report how many characters you used and whether one or more SMS will be used (i.e. one message is limited to 160 characters, long messages get cut in 153 characters chunks.)
The Date/Time field expects a date written as
YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS. The message will not be sent until that date is reached. So if you enter same time tomorrow as the date, the SMS From Me application will wait 24 hours before attempting to send the message. This parameter is optional and is set to Now by default.
Once a valid cell phone number and message were entered, click the Send button. This saves the message in your Dashboard. You can edit or lock/unlock the message until it gets sent. A locked message won't get sent until it gets unlocked. This gives you plenty of time to edit the message. Once done, unlock the message and the application will then be allowed to send it.
If you already registered with your email address and needed to re-validate (i.e. the first validation somehow failed) then go to the Validate Page where you can request for a new validation code to be emailed to you.
